Description

Icon notation is SO important to musical pre-reading.
When the kids don’t understand musical notation, it’s on us. So that time you spend pre-reading with your younger students sets them up to be the BEST readers they can be. This set is perfect for practice reading patterns using Running (eighth notes) and Walk (quarter notes). I include Tip-Toe as well since that’s what I use. (No one wants a room full of Kindergarteners that have been given permission to run!) Pre-read those ta and ti-ti patterns and make the transition to written notes easier!

These patterns come in three ways:
1: Tortoise = “walk”/Rabbit = “running”
2: Kid = “walk”/Kid = “running”

3: Kid = “walk”/Kid = “tip-toe”

Options:
Printable ink-friendly color cards
Printable ink-friendly black & white cards
Projectable patterns with a background.
