  42. Ms. Shaw’s Music Makers –

My kids and I had so much fun with this! It’s so versatile that I was able to use it with every grade level from K-6. These activities would also be great for a sub plan, centers, group compositions, or just a fun activity if the kids get done early with something else. My fourth graders especially had a great time coming up with different chants and using spooky sounds to represent each rhythm pattern. We liked this resource so much that I went and bought the Thanksgiving set, too!

  50. Mather’s Music –

    My students loved this!

  51. Brody D. –

I used this as a ‘bingo’ board game activity as well as a mini check-in assessment with my students to know who has a good grasp on which notes go with which rhythms. I wrote the rhythm ‘options’ on the board and had students guess which one I had clapped for which word. They filled in the rhythm they guessed on their board game sheets and next week we will be cutting them out and gluing to create their own individual board game. My students have been pretty excited for the activity.

  52. Lori G. –

    Thanks!

  53. Ms Candelora –

My students had a lot of fun creating their own rhythm compositions! We will finish sharing our compositions next week!

  54. Laurie A. –

My students loved this activity and I thought it was a great way, not only for them to review rhythm, but also for them to have an opportunity to compose their own songs. Afterwards, I passed out instruments and had them practice their compositions and perform them for the class. Overall very successful and the kids were excited to take them home and show them off to their families! Thanks for a great resource! Will definitely use again in the future!

  55. Ariana F. –

I left this activity with very detailed instructions for a sub. My students were so engaged that they asked if they could do more of these activities. I really enjoyed how many Halloween “things” were included in this activity. I have so much fun doing Halloween in my classroom, and this helped connect it all!
