This spreadsheet has 32 weeks of selected musicians, composers, and groups for Kindergarten – 5th grade. (192 musicians/composers total).
Includes name, the category they were selected for (although they may belong to more than one), the country they were born in, dates of birth and if applicable, death, a YouTube listening link as well as a matching link for Video.link.
This resource was made with inclusivity in mind. The idea is that students hear more than traditional selections, so there are two selections of the following categories for each grade:

Asia
Film Composer
American Composer
Jazz/Blues

European Classical
Bluegrass/Folk
Band Music
Choral Music
LGTBQ
Broadway
Each grade also has two selections that vary including Rock, Spirituals, Australian Composer, Piano music, Motown, Big Band, African Composer, Hip Hop, Pop culture, Gospel, American Crooner, Opera, Men’s Choir, Aboriginal Music.
This also includes a projectable “Listening Selection of the Week” slide for each name. This portion is a PDF. There is not a link on this file to allow for quick updates if a link is removed from YouTube.
This list is meant to be a jumping-off point to start your lessons and can not include everyone. There is so much good music!! The reason for categorization is to ensure that multiple groups are covered. Composers and musicians on this list belong to more than one category.

A nice list of listening selections. When I purchased it I thought the whole thing would be already in google slides which I was really excited about as that is what I am building my lessons in this year and thought it would be an easy copy and paste to put them into my lessons, but it is a spreadsheet, and you have to create the slides yourself or screenshot the PDF to make the slides, and link the videos yourself.
Looks like a good resource, but not as user friendly as I first thought.

I created Listen and Respond assignments for my students. I was able to use this resource to find examples that fit my needs for these assignments. Every grade level was assigned a video to watch and then I created 10 Question responses for my 3rd-5th grade, 5 question responses for my 1st and 2nd grades and Draw me a Response picture for my K-1 students. (1st grade drew responses first semester and answered questions the second semester.)
I used the classifications to find music for Hispanic Heritage Month, African American Month, Asian/Pacific Month, String instruments, Musician Classification (Solo, Duet, Trio, Quartet, Orchestra, Chorus, etc.) Major/Minor, Tempo, etc.
It really expanded my options and introduced my students and me to some new musicians. (Love Black Violins!)

I so appreciate all the work put into this product. I do wish it were a little more ready to use out of the box, but just having the youtube videos and info about the video have been fabulous. I did create a google slide with interactive calendars and put activities up in a calendar format for students and myself to use as a daily listening activity. After adding a few of my own, it makes for a wonderful daily listening activity. I ended up using every activity for everyone in order to have enough for everyday use. This has been a fun activity for the students to find what song is on their birthday and what-not. Thank you!
