The end of the school year is a flurry of activities, busyness, and events. Sometimes things can slip through the cracks, and sometimes, you’re simply in need of something to get by. Here are a few great resources for the end of the school year that will help you cover some of those busy moments.

Awards
If you give out class awards, these editable options are a cute way to give students a pat on the back for some of the work they did this year! There are a few options for you in my store including cute ones for elementary and more traditional looking ones for older students or ensembles. Check them out here.

Quick Fix
If you are in a pinch, need a quick activity, or have a few minutes to pass when students are finished with something early, these music or not games are the perfect way to pass time, still cover musical ideas, and get in some laughs!

Games include:
- Pasta or Composer: 52 words – are the pasta types or a composer? Even your youngest students will love this one! Includes a brief info on each composer including dates and what they are known for.
- Instrument or River: this 40 question game has students guess if it is a river or an instrument.
- Opera or Cheese: This cheesy game includes 40 opera or cheese names. A brief info about each opera including the composer, librettist, language it’s performed in is included.
- City or Song: this 40 question game has students guess if the title is a world city or the name of a jazz tune.
- Symphony or Art: Is it the name of a symphony or the name of a piece of art work? Your guess is as good as mine!
Creative
We all know that keeping kids on task is like trying to control water this time of year. Letting them be creative is a good way to keep working on standards but let them have a little bit of autonomy.
Here are a couple of summer themed composing activities:

Summer Camp Fun
Summer camp is something that kids might participate in depending on their family’s situation, but you can have a fun camp out in your classroom. Coordinate with the PE teacher and teach camp songs, have some outdoor fun, and play some camp type games.
These summer camp song books include the lyrics to some student favorites. Book 2 is editable so you can add your own favorites!

I hope this has given you a few ideas to have some summery fun at the end of the year!
