Last year, I found out I was getting a new room. (!!!!AHHHH!!!!!). I’ve never had my own classroom before. I even got to preview it during construction! (I may have died lol.)

I’ve been so insanely excited, and I’ve only been decorating in my brain for over a year.

I couldn’t wait to have a place for my music classes (NO CART!), not forgetting things on the other side of the building, a band room that couldn’t be cut through, not having to shuffle for other events, and-possibly my favorite-a place that felt like home.

We even got to write on the structural beams.  I put this in the middle window.

Since I teach preschool to 8th grade, I was really concerned with balancing the younger and older students.

I wanted to make sure that my middle school kids felt happy in the space, but still see that my little ones were comfortable and not overwhelmed with big kid things.

I finally decided that a Vintage Record Store was what I wanted. Cool enough for my older kids, but I could have some fun with posters to make it comfortable for my younger preschooler and elementary kids.

Let’s take my music room tour!!

The Music Room Tour: Vintage Record Store Edition

I wish I could tell you how to make this, but I got this as a gift last year at the end of the year! LOVE it so much.

So I got a little long winded but I had to show off all the details! There are some great ideas to keep a room minimally decorated but still be functional for teaching, fun and friendly for multiple ages. I’ve never had my own space to teach and I’m so excited to share my new space with you. So amazed and THANKFUL for the community that made this room (and the rest of our amazing addition at my school) possible. Check back here later for a blog post with links to some of the things I gathered on Etsy/Pinterest/TpT AND a giveaway for my whole decor set. 💙 #musicteacher #musiceducation #iteachmusic #iteachband #banddirector #choirdirector #elmusiced #music #generalmusic #elmusedchat #elementaryteacher #middleschool #teachersfollowteachers #teachersoffacebook
