This is my first year teaching Tim-ka as my district redid the entire 5th grade curriculum. We just finally identified the rhythm and I immediately used the ‘Pick the Apple’ to have them start readying and identifying the rhythm among other known rhythms. Students found it engaging and were able to quickly figure out the rhythms I chanted. Eventually I might use this resource as a four corners game!
