I’m still looking for some images I can use that are not under copyright of certain things, but this is a start! It looks like I will be making lots of pasta this summer too!

Kids love this and I had fun playing it with them! I printed and laminated cards that had the music or not choices on them and I let them play in teams and hold up what they think is the correct answer. The team with the most points get a small prize (like a sticker or a pencil). So fun!

I am definitely working on some updates already for these things. A large part of why they have not been included is due to copyright issues with a lot of the images. For instance, many of the living composers don’t have public domain images of them. I’m working on Pasta or Composer first for this. I hope that there will be some worksheets included as well as things like composer bios.

This is a wonderful and creative idea that my students thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint is that the resource is described as “PowerPoint” resource, but it is a PDF. This was a really big deal for me, as I wanted a file that I could add relevant photos and historical or geographical content to, in order to really make this a learning experience. I couldn’t see any indication that is was only a PDF file, which I cannot edit. That knowledge would have affected my decision to purchase.

I found these games to work better with my upper grades, but with that said, they made great activities for days where students were testing in their regular classes. I also plan to leave this as a sub plan for 4th/5th grade in the future.
My classes wanted to see photos of the city or operas (and cheeses), perhaps in a future update you could find some public domain images to add?
If you made files with more grade appropriate content and popular units (ie. instruments generally taught in the class, more well known composers, etc.) that lined up with general curriculum, especially for my K-3 kiddos, I would not hesitate to purchase more.

This game set is absolutely hilarious and my kids just have a blast with it. It is something to play when you really just need to give the students a break or a reward. While they might learn something from playing it, it is almost more fun if no one in the group knows anything from the start. I use it during conference weeks when I have a really short class and can’t get much else done, store it in my substitute folder, and bring it out for the occasional rainy day or as a bonus for hard work.

I love the concept, so I bought the whole bundle! I was a little disappointed to find out that the instrument or river game did did not come with actual pictures of the instruments. That was the reason I purchased the bundle. I know I will find a way to use all five of the games in my classroom later, so it was still a good purchase. I really like the format for the cheese of being half sheet, this way students can play this as a game. I understand for presentation on a board, full sheet is better. It is very challenging and it works for other subjects to make the connection.

We played the Pasta or Composer game and students loved to guess what the name was and were interested in knowing about the composers (and how old a lot of them were!). Sometimes I get done early, the planets align, I’m the chosen one––Whatever it is, if you just let the kiddos “sit and talk” they NEVER just sit and talk, even if it’s five minutes. This game pack is educational, the kids of the unserious but, still serious games (Pasta is their favorite). A great way to pass the time and keep them engaged.
